I just wrote a post for EatonWeb on the best method to increase your search traffic for your blog.

The reason your business needs a blog is to give evidence to your claims in your about page.

5 reasons why reputable SEOs don’t guarantee rankings:

  1. SEO & Guarantees Have an Abominable History
  2. The Search Engines Expressly Warn Against It
  3. Rankings are Inherently Unstable
  4. Rankings are a Poor Metric for Overall Performance
  5. Making Guarantees About Something You Cannot Control Carries Inherent Ethical Problems

My New Blogging Position at BusinessLogs.com

I want to thank Mark Saunders of Splashpress for hiring me to blog at Business Logs.  I’ll be posting there about small business blogging.

I’m excited about this blogging position because I feel like business blogging doesn’t get the air time that it should.  There’s a ton of blogs about blogging but most of them talk about using the advertising/pageview/AdSense/CPM model.  This model leaves a lot of money of the table.

On the other hand, small businesses by nature have a great monetization model.  They sell products and/or services.  They don’t need advertisers.
